Description

• MAXXIS DISSECTOR: Designed by DH racer Troy Brosnan, the Dissector minimizes drag while retaining cornering control. This versatile tire can be used front or rear or as a pair depending on conditions.
• 3C MAXXTERRA: An intermediate triple compound configuration used across our mountain tire line. The 3C MaxxTerra compound offers more traction than 3C MaxxSpeed, yet provides better treadwear and less rolling resistance than MaxxGrip, which makes it ideal for trail riding in all conditions.
• EXO+: Builds on our EXO technology with the addition of a small butyl insert around the bead. EXO+ is ideal for trail riding in moderately rocky and rooty terrain, and is also suitable for lighter weight e-bikes.
• E25: Tires with an E25 rating are suitable for light duty e-bikes with assistance up to a maximum of 16.1 MPH.
• WIDE TRAIL: Optimizes the tires tread layout and profile to match todays modern, wider rims. Maxxis offers WT tires for everything from XC to gravity applications. A 30mm internal width rim is ideal for most applications, but WT tires can be used on rims ranging from 19mm to 35mm internal.

From the Dissector, Troy Brosnan wanted to create a unicorn tire a center tread design that carried speed easily but with edge blocks worthy of world-class cornering speed. The Dissector center knobs are all heavily ramped to minimize drag, but retain sharp, flat edges along their backs to provide strong braking traction. Small sipes give the knobs additional flexion, increasing their surface area during braking and aiding the transition to the edge blocks when cornering.
